FUTURE AIR FORCE CONFERENCE 2025

17–18 Sept 2025 | Prague, Czech Republic

2025 event

The Future Air Force Conference is organized under the auspices
and in cooperation with the Czech Air Force Command

MAIN POINTS

Military pilot training in the Information Age refers to the process of preparing pilots to operate increasingly complex aircraft and systems in a highly digital, network-centric, and rapidly evolving technological environment.

  1. Information Overload
Pilots must process vast amounts of real-time data from sensors, networks, and systems, which can lead to cognitive overload and reduced situational awareness.
  2. Rapid Technological Change
Constant upgrades in aircraft systems, AI integration, and unmanned technologies require continuous adaptation of training programs.
  3. Cost and Complexity of Simulation
High-fidelity simulators and VR/AR technologies are expensive and complex to maintain, though essential for realistic and safe training.
  4. Manned – Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T)
Training must prepare pilots to effectively collaborate with autonomous systems and AI decision-support tools.
  5. Retention and Skill Decay
Advanced systems require frequent training to maintain proficiency, yet time and budget constraints can lead to skill fade.
  6. Multi-domain Integration
Pilots must train for operations across air, space, cyber, and electromagnetic domains, increasing cognitive and operational complexity.
