Aero Vodochody became a Diamond Partner of the conference

Future Air Force Conference 2024 is proud to announce that Aero Vodochody will support our conference again this year and has become a Diamond Partner of the conference.

Aero Vodochody is a leading European manufacturer of aircraft and aerospace components. From its foundation in 1919 to the present day, it has played a key role in the world of the aviation industry. With more than a century of tradition, the company specializes in the development, production and service of military and civil aircrafts. In total, more than 11,000 aircraft have been produced in Vodochody.

After its foundation, in the period before the Second World War, Aero Vodochody was a manufacturer of Aero aircraft, on which Czechoslovak pilots achieved significant successes at air shows and competitions.

During the 1950s, Aero Vodochody developed the L-29 Delfin trainer aircraft; it was Czechoslovakia's first indigenously designed jet-powered aircraft. The L-29 is believed to have likely been the biggest aircraft industrial programme to take place across any of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (COMECON) countries. During the course of the programme, in excess of 3,000 L-29s were produced. The successor, no less successful, was the development of the L-39, which was developed in the 1960s. During the 2010s, Aero Vodochody was engaged in the manufacture of the L-159 advanced light combat aircraft that is still used in Czech Air Forces.

The latest product of Aero Vodochody's development staff is the L-39NG, a modern trainer and light combat aircraft presented in July 2014 at Farnoborough Airshow.

The brand new L-39NG aircraft made first flight on December 22, 2018. in September 2020, less than two years later, the aircraft was certified by the Military Aviation Authority of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic.

The L-39NG builds on the best of the L-29 and L-39 programs and has all the ingredients to once again become a leader in the production of trainer and light tactical aircraft.
